Childproofing your home

Have a new little one running around?  It can be a major change for you and your home.  Make sure you take the right steps to keep both your child and your home safe during this time in a little ones life.  A few simple things to keep in mind are:

 1. To lock up all your cleaning supplies, poisons, and sharp objects.  Putting latches on cabinets where they may be or putting them in the garage for a while could do the trick.

2.  Make sure you check your smoke detectors or install new ones.

3.  Put protective covers on electrical outlets

4.  Install baby gates on all stairs inside your home.

5.  Enclose open deck rails and/or deck stairs with either gates or added railings.

6.  Enclose the pool with a child safe gate.

These are just a few tips to remember when the new addition has arrived.
